RN - Interventional RadiologyLocated in a community hospital setting. Average patient census is 5-8 per day. The patient population primarily consists of older adults. Common procedures include interventions such as pulmonary embolism thrombectomies and embolizations. Moderate sedation experience is required for registered nurses. Technicians will assist with procedures but will not operate CT equipment. There are opportunities for floating to assist in CT procedures. An upbeat team culture is emphasized within the department. Staffing support includes radiologists, a radiology PA, and management. The department utilizes various technologies, including EMR systems and specific interventional radiology equipment. There is an on-call rotation, with expectations for weekday and holiday coverage. Daily scheduling is structured around five 8-hour shifts.
