Litigation Paralegal – Bodily Injury & Workers’ Compensation
Chicago, IL | Full-Time | On-Site
$28–$39 per hour, based on experience

Are you an experienced Bodily Injury (BI) Litigation Paralegal looking for an opportunity to
take an active role in managing cases and supporting attorneys through every stage of
litigation?
We are seeking a skilled and highly organized Litigation Paralegal with Bodily Injury
and/or Workers’ Compensation experience to become an integral part of our trial team.
This is a hands-on position for someone who understands the demands of personal injury
and bodily injury litigation, enjoys working closely with attorneys and clients, and takes
pride in keeping cases organized and moving forward toward resolution and trial.
You will play an important role in managing case details, preparing litigation documents,
coordinating discovery and depositions, communicating with clients, and assisting
attorneys with trial preparation.
What You’ll Do
• Support attorneys throughout all phases of bodily injury and Workers’
Compensation litigation.
• Manage and organize case files from intake through settlement and/or trial.
• Prepare legal documents including complaints, pleadings, motions, affidavits,
legal memoranda, and appellate documents.
• Draft and file pleadings and motions with state and federal courts.
• Prepare and manage discovery, including interrogatories, requests, responses, and
related documentation.
• E-file documents in state and federal courts and ensure deadlines and filing
requirements are met.
• Draft and serve summons and other litigation documents.
• Coordinate and prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Prepare deposition, hearing, and trial binders, exhibits, evidence, briefs, and
appendices.

• Assist attorneys with gathering and organizing medical records, documentation, and
other evidence relevant to bodily injury claims.
• Conduct client and witness interviews and gather information necessary to support
cases.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case status and obtain documentation
needed for discovery and litigation.
• Coordinate with attorneys, opposing counsel, co-counsel, courts, medical
providers, and other third parties.
• Track case deadlines and ensure all necessary litigation tasks are completed timely.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation and provide support before, during, and after
trial.
• Handle multiple cases and competing deadlines in a fast-paced litigation
environment.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Bodily Injury/Personal Injury litigation
and is comfortable taking ownership of the day-to-day details involved in moving cases
forward.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience working in a law firm or legal services environment
under an attorney.
• Experience with Bodily Injury, Personal Injury, and/or Workers’ Compensation
litigation strongly preferred.
• General litigation experience required; federal court experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures, including:
o Pleadings and motions
o Discovery
o Depositions
o Evidence
o Court filings and e-filing

o Court rules and procedures
o Litigation documentation
• Experience working with medical records and documentation related to bodily
injury claims is a plus.
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional and compassionate client communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while being an active member of a collaborative trial
team.
• Associate degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred.

Schedule & Work Environment
This is a 100% on-site position in our Chicago office. There is no remote or hybrid option.

Monday–Friday
8:30 AM–5:30 PM
8-hour shifts
Background Check
