Registered Nurse - MS/Tele Clinical Decision Unit

Assignment Duration: This is a 26-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM).

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the MS/Tele Clinical Decision Unit will provide high-quality patient care in a telemetry and progressive care setting. The RN will be responsible for managing patient needs, administering medication, and monitoring vital signs, with a strong focus on patients requiring vasoactive drips. The RN will also participate in interdisciplinary team assessments and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a telemetry and progressive care unit.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Manage and interpret telemetry readings, including dysrhythmias.
• Engage in patient assessments and care planning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and treatment plans using the EPIC charting system.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of telemetry and acute care experience required; 2 years preferred.
• PCU experience is required.
• Strong experience with vasoactive drips is a must.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required at the time of submission.
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to the start date.
• Must be nicotine-free; a negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (cotinine) drug screen is required.
