Material Handler

The material handler physically receives and ships packages and orders into and out of the warehouse. This position requires the operation of a forklift, and other tools as needed. They perform the required duties to quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities:

• Physically receives all incoming packages and orders as well as prepares and ships outgoing packages.
• Operate the forklift and wrapping machine as needed
• Determines labeling requirements for shipping containers including any special labels required by the customer
• Prepare documents and record receipts in a timely manner
• Move materials from production to finished goods area, and from receiving dock to storage areas

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Forklift Certification: Preferred, forklift experience preferred
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills along with strong ability to multitask
• Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact with customers and team members.
• Other Skills: Ability to work effectively with peers, management, and other departments.
• Technical Proficiency: Computer literacy

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

• Warehouse Setting: The role is primarily based in the warehouse with loud noises and fluctuations in temperature
• Communication: Ability to communicate in English
• Mobility: Required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• Lifting: Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds continuously.
