MRI Technician
Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a full-time MRI technician to join our team!
Our ideal candidate is ambitious, experienced, and outgoing. The candidate must be certified by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist. Experienced with GE 1.5 Tesla preferred, but not required.
The Daily:
- Perform the imaging portion (not anesthetic portion) of all MRI procedures ordered by veterinarians
- Arrange for appropriate distribution of images throughout required modalities as requested by doctors or clients
- Maintain the health of the MRI machine, control unit, and all related software as necessary.
- During any downtime from MRI scanning, assist and receive basic training within the rest of the hospital to be able to assist technical/facility staff as needed.
- Oversee additional tasks assigned by your leadership team.
The Essentials:
- Certified by ARMRIT
- Minimum 2 years direct experience
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to multi-task and critical think under pressure.
- Must be able to stand, bend, or kneel for long periods of time.
- Possess sufficient ambulatory skills to perform duties while in the hospital, including manipulating (lift, carry, move) 50 lbs. or more; walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch intermittently, and stand for long periods.
Compensation: $30-$40hr dependent upon experience.
