Cost Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their team for a Hybrid role. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $80,000 to $95,000 per year.

Job responsibilities:

• Prepare month-end journal entries and financial reports.
• Analyze monthly product line performance to plan.
• Preparation of annual budgets, and periodic forecasts.
• Assess adequacy of reserves for both inventory, and warranty.
• Review inventory transactions before posting to the general ledger.
• Administration of product group, part class, and general ledger posting control tables.
• Prepare inventory capitalization schedules.
• Answer operations personnel questions on how to properly handle transactions within ERP system.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent combination of education and training.
• 3-5 years work experience in a manufacturing company and cost accounting experience.
• Familiarity with Epicor software and creation of report queries preferred, but not required.
• System integration experience a plus.
• Proficient in Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
