Project Manager- Civil Construction

Nashville, TN Civil Project Manager A well-established and growing civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced civil project manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of site development and heavy civil projects throughout the Nashville area. Responsibilities Manage multiple civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. Coordinate with owners, developers, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure successful project execution. Oversee project costs, contract administration, change orders, and monthly billing. Monitor project progress, productivity, and quality while proactively addressing potential issues. Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance with project requirements. Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams. Support procurement efforts, subcontractor negotiations, and material purchasing. Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Mentor Project Engineers and other junior team members as the team continues to grow. Qualifications 5+ years of experience managing civil construction or site development projects. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred. Experience with projects involving earthwork, underground utilities, grading, paving, stormwater, concrete, and infrastructure improvements. Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and cost control. Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and civil engineering plans. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to project management. Experience with project management software such as Procore, HCSS, Viewpoint, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms is a plus.
