Project Leader - Advanced

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate, track, and monitor project progress, milestones, and deliverables.
Establish and maintain project management processes, tools, and documentation.
Develop project plans, assign tasks, and oversee daily work efforts.
Identify resource needs and perform quality reviews.
Manage communications with all impacted areas across the enterprise.
Support project and program managers in identifying and prioritizing IT opportunities.
Manage one or more medium to high-complexity projects ; larger roles may involve cross-functional initiatives of greater enterprise impact.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, OR equivalent work experience.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of IT work experience , including 2+ years of project management .
WIOA Business Services Experience - Mandatory.
- The position's primary focus is providing WIOA Business Services training to the 21 Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDBs) across Florida.

Required Knowledge & Skills

Strong proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and resource management .
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain quality under deadlines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Understanding of change management practices and enterprise IT delivery frameworks.

Mandatory Expertise in WIOA Business Services

Candidates must have hands-on experience in one or more of the following Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) business services areas:

Recruitment & Hiring Assistance: Job postings, candidate screening, job fairs, hiring events.
Work-Based Learning: On-the-Job Training (OJT), Incumbent Worker Training (IWT), Apprenticeships, Work Experience.
Layoff Aversion & Rapid Response: Re-employment and intervention services for companies at risk of downsizing.
Labor Market Intelligence: Analysis of wage data, occupational trends, and regional skill gaps.
Customized Training Solutions: Employer-led, skill-aligned programs supported by WIOA funding.
Connections to Incentives: Awareness of tax credits, grants, and funding opportunities.
