Store Operations Specialist

Solomon Page is partnering with a leading retail organization to hire a Store Operations Specialist to support a high-volume store operations team during a critical peak season. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution of operational initiatives, supporting store teams nationwide, and serving as a key point of contact for inventory storage, vendor coordination, and operational communications.

• Location: Columbus, OH (onsite 2 days/week)
• Duration: 4-month contract
• Pay Rate: $22.85/hour
• Hours: 40 hours/week

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily communications with stores and vendors, responding to operational inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
• Process and track storage requests across a large retail store network
• Maintain accurate records for thousands of storage units and ensure data integrity
• Coordinate storage payments, billing processes, and issue resolution activities
• Support operational projects and process improvements to drive efficiency
• Assist in developing and communicating new operational procedures to field leadership
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support store operations initiatives
• Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines are met
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members as needed
• Deliver a high level of customer service while balancing multiple priorities

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2-3 years of store operations, retail operations, project coordination, or related experience
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on process accuracy and execution
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Comfortable working independently with minimal direction

Preferred Background

• Experience supporting retail field operations, store support, inventory, logistics, or vendor management functions
• Experience maintaining large data sets, records, or operational tracking systems
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and levels of an organization
