Health Information Technician

Job TitleAssign ICD-9-CM CPT4 diagnostic and procedural codes for diagnosis to records of hospice patients.Provides review and analysis as part of the hospice quality improvement program including various collection of data and infection prevention.Job RequirementsMinimum Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing (LVN)Minimum Work Experience:1 year coding5 years of nursing/experienceRequired Licenses/Certifications:Current state license as an LVNCertified coding specialist must have any of the following certifications:CPCCOCCICCOC-PCPC-ACCSRequired Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities:Compile and analyze reportsEstablish filing systemsInput data into computer programsMaintain logsResearch informationUse computerized spreadsheets to conduct analysis
