Internal Medicine Physician

Internal Medicine physician job in Texas :

Medrina is a large, physician-owned practice that has been a national group for over 15 years. We are currently looking to add physicians to the team in our McAllen, TXmarket!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical care to SNFpatients, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Responsible for full medical management and primary care
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Texaslicense
• Board certifiedin Internal Medicine
• Active DEA license
• Minimum 1 year of Internal Medicine experience
• Experience managing adult/geriatric patient populations
• Strong clinical decision-making and time management skills

Preferred Experience:

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or post-acute care experience
• Inpatient hospitalist
• Geriatric Medicine

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working with patients as well as working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks, etc.) and chemical hazards.
• Must wear the required PPE per company and/or facility requirement.
• Must comply with facility vaccination requirements.
