Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing students for the 2026–2027 academic year as a full-time, onsite Sign Language Interpreter. This position offers two openings and allows you to make a meaningful impact by facilitating educational access and connection within a collaborative school environment.

In this vital role, you will:

• Deliver accurate American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for students throughout the instructional day
• Facilitate communication during classroom instruction, assemblies, extracurriculars, meetings, and other school-related functions
• Foster communication between students, teachers, staff, and peer groups, ensuring every student feels connected and empowered
• Adhere to confidentiality standards according to FERPA and district policy
• Collaborate closely with educators, special education teams, and related professional service providers to support student achievement
• Review instructional content in advance to prepare thoroughly for interpreting assignments
• Maintain high professional standards in line with ethical guidelines for educational interpreters

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Colorado Educational Interpreter Authorization or eligibility to obtain this credential
• Associate's degree or above in Educational Interpreting, ASL, or a closely related discipline
• Successful completion of the EIPA Written Examination
• EIPA Performance Score of 3.5+ or current RID certification
• Fulfillment of all Colorado Department of Education and district employment prerequisites, including background screening
• Exceptional collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
