About the Position

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Texas

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: West Texas

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with block scheduling available (optional); 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period; no on-call required; self-scheduling model

Highlights:

• Level II Trauma Center with comprehensive stroke and STEMI capabilities
• 379-bed short-term acute care facility serving a diverse patient population including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Emergency Department with 46 beds, 42 treatment rooms, and daily census of approximately 136 visits
• Consistent 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratios across all shifts
• Epic electronic medical record system with 36 hours of paid orientation
• Interdisciplinary team support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience (required)
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Community hospital and trauma center experience preferred
• Demonstrated competencies in stroke care, trauma protocols, triage, central line management, ventilated patient care, BiPAP/CPAP management, IV vasopressors, and dysrhythmia management
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
