Womens Health, Primary Care Physician

Job Description

Our VA outpatient clinic located in Parkersburg West Virginia offers primary care and specialty health services, including mental health services, laboratory services, immunizations, X-rays, and more. We are open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Major Duties Include: (but are not limited to)

Provide medical services to Veterans (mostly male) on an outpatient basis in the primary care setting. Disease processes include, but are not limited to: diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, mental health disorders, etc., with a major focus on preventive medicine.
Lead the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) approach in the delivery of care, which emphasizes a team-based approach to health
Document all medical information in an electronic medical record.
Perform medication reconciliation.
Provide effective delivery of outpatient care while meeting and exceeding compliance standards.
Maintain current clinical privileges, licensure, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and all other requirements as appropriate.
Cooperate with, and participate in, medical duties or functions related to quality of care and peer review along with improvement/performance improvement activities at the direction of the Chief of the Medical Service.
All other duties assigned.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. (subject to change, depending on the needs of the service.)
