Quality Assurance Tester, Senior

Responsibilities Technica Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance Tester, Senior. As a Quality Assurance Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of software applications through both automated and manual testing methods. Your day-to-day activities will involve designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with development teams to resolve issues efficiently. You will leverage your expertise in .Net, Python, bash, PowerShell and/or JavaScript/TypeScript to create robust automation scripts, while also applying your knowledge of front-end frameworks to validate user interfaces and workflows. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you verify that all software components meet stringent quality standards before deployment. In this role, you will benefit from hands-on experience with a variety of testing tools and processes, such as automated testing frameworks, bug tracking systems, and continuous integration pipelines. Exposure to front-end technologies and scripting languages will enhance your ability to identify and troubleshoot issues across different layers of the application.Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases for web applicationsCollaborate with development teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycleIdentify, document, and track software defects using established processesTest front-end frameworks for functionality, usability, and compatibilityAnalyze test results and provide actionable feedback to developersParticipate in test planning, estimation, and status meetingsMaintain and update test documentation as neededThe position would be located at a government facility in Washington, D.C. and require work to be performed onsite. Any hybrid work schedule would require customer approval. The government has established policies for on-site vs hybrid work which varies across divisions and contracts. Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.The annual base salary range for this position is $113,000 – $140,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Technica considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, location, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
