Utility Position

The utility is responsible for keeping inventory of, transporting, stocking, and cleaning/clearing products to ensure business and customer needs are met. In addition to responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of dishes, serve ware, equipment, etc. while individually performing other serviceable duties as assigned. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by O'Hare Joint Venture 2 location based on business needs.

Essential functions include:

• Ensuring guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
• Stocking and maintaining appropriate levels of product
• Delivering product and utilizing transfer sheets to maintain inventory integrity
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining appearance of work stations and guest service areas
• Maintaining dishwashing station, compartment sink and related areas cleaned
• Ensuring equipment is clean and in working condition; reporting any issues to management
• Performing other light maintenance and custodial tasks
• Maintaining excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, and co-workers, etc.
• Adhering to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensuring security of company assets
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Lifting requirements: Medium - Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Requires constant standing/walking
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs.
