Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal surgical outcomes through skilled nursing interventions and collaboration with surgical teams. Responsibilities:
- Assess patient health status prior to surgery and develop individualized care plans.
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure availability of necessary supplies.
- Support surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members during procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any intraoperative changes.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
- Hold an active and valid nursing license in the applicable state.
- Have recent OR nursing experience, preferably in a surgical setting.
- Possess certifications such as BLS and ACLS.
- Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Be able to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
