Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for delivering compassionate, quality care with a focus on patients and their families. The RN will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care for patients according to established policies and standards of professional nursing practice. This role involves defining, implementing, and improving practice standards and enhancing the environment of care while promoting exceptional patient service.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care by assessing patients' needs and providing appropriate interventions.
• Document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Regularly float to Med-Surg units as required.
• Implement and improve nursing practice standards and promote a quality care environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care and ICU experience.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from an accredited organization.
• Experience in Med-Surg and Telemetry nursing.
• Proficient in IV insertion and management.
• Experience with the adult patient population.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic.

Requirements

• The position requires the ability to work every other weekend.
• All candidates must possess a valid Minnesota nursing license or have applied for permanent licensing.
