Solar Installer
SpartanX is seeking motivated and dependable Solar Installers to support residential solar installation operations across active markets.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, working outdoors, and being part of a fast-paced team environment. Solar Installers play a critical role in ensuring systems are installed safely, efficiently, and according to SpartanX operational standards.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, dependable, and comfortable working on rooftops and ladders in varying outdoor conditions.
What You'll Do
- Install residential solar PV systems according to company and manufacturer standards
- Assemble and install racking systems, solar panels, and related equipment
- Perform roof work safely and efficiently while maintaining clean workmanship
- Assist with electrical and mechanical portions of solar installations
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment safely
- Follow project layouts, installation plans, and operational procedures
- Maintain organized job sites and ensure materials are handled properly
- Communicate professionally with crew leaders, homeowners, and operations teams
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials as needed
What We're Looking For
- Previous solar installation, roofing, construction, or outdoor labor experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, and in outdoor environments
- Ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding role
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment safely throughout the workday
- Professional attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Valid driver's license preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous residential solar installation experience
- OSHA 10 certification
- Experience using fall protection and roof safety equipment
- Basic electrical or construction knowledge
