Most Important Requirements
The most important point is that this is NOT a general IT support/help-desk position .
They need a senior embedded systems/RTOS troubleshooting engineer with deep hands-on experience in:
- VxWorks / RTOS
- C/C++
- Wind River Linux
- Linux kernel / device drivers
- BSPs (Board Support Packages)
- Debugging kernel, driver, and hardware issues
- Stack traces, disassembly, and root-cause analysis
- GCC / Clang / Diab toolchains
- Simics / QEMU
- Reproducing customer environments
- Troubleshooting complex OS + hardware + networking + virtualization issues
Job Description
This is a Tier-3 / escalation-level technical support engineering role . The engineer will reproduce customer environments, investigate complex embedded/real-time system problems, identify root causes, develop workarounds, and document potential product defects.
The candidate will work heavily with VxWorks and Wind River Linux , debugging at the kernel, driver, BSP, and hardware level . Strong C/C++ programming and debugging knowledge is essential because many issues require reading, analyzing, instrumenting, or modifying C/C++ code.
The engineer will also handle critical customer escalations, communicate directly with customers, create knowledge-base documentation, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with Support, Product Management, and Engineering .
