Insight Global is seeking a Production Plant Supervisor for a leading concrete manufacturing client. This individual will oversee a multi-shift production facility, owning all aspects of safety, quality, production, and maintenance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives on the shop floor, brings strong technical expertise with automated manufacturing equipment, and is passionate about continuous improvement. This role partners closely with Operations, Sales, Dispatch, and R&D to ensure customer demands are met while maintaining exceptional product quality and operational efficiency. Day-to-Day
- Manage all production, quality, safety, and maintenance functions for a single-facility, multi-shift operation
- Partner with the Operations Manager to ensure safety, housekeeping, maintenance, and quality standards are met
- Coordinate production and maintenance scheduling to optimize output and efficiency
- Collaborate with Dispatch to meet customer demand at optimal cost
- Work closely with the Area Sales Manager on facility-related issues, problem resolution, and new product R&D
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and equipment
- Ensure consistency in product quality and manufacturing processes
- Oversee inventory control and cost management
Must-Haves
- 5+ years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on, shop-floor leadership style
- Demonstrable experience operating, troubleshooting, and repairing automated electro-mechanical and electro-pneumatic production equipment
- Strong focus on product quality and consistency (highly aesthetic products)
- Experience managing production, safety, quality, and maintenance functions
Plusses
- Concrete products manufacturing experience
- Siemens S5 / S7 PLC experience
- P&L ownership and cost control experience
