Apply today!Material Handler Responsibilities:- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport, stack, and retrieve materials- Sort and categorize various material handling and storage products according to established guidelines and standards- Accurately identify products and materials, verifying their quality, quantity, and proper labeling- Properly band, label, store, and arrange materials in designated storage areas, ensuring accessibility and efficient space utilization- Assist in tracking inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks, and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling of materials, safe forklift operation, and the use of personal protective equipment- Perform routine inspections on forklifts and other equipment and report any issues or malfunctions to supervisor- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement, material identification, and storage locations- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflowRequirements for Material Handler:- Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified- Ability to operate and read industrial scales and tape measures- Ability to do basic math such as counting, adding, and subtracting- Ability to work and communicate well to others- Ability to work both receiving and order fulfillment- High school diploma or equivalent job experience required- Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout shift- Ability to work in a loud noisy environment- Ability to work outdoors in the weather elementsQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
