School Bus Driver

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a School Bus Driver at Grayson County SSA. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school and related activities. This is a full-time position that requires a commitment to providing excellent service and maintaining a positive environment for our students. Responsibilities Safely operate a school bus to transport students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and field trips. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain a clean and well‑organized bus interior. Follow designated routes and schedules, ensuring timely arrivals and departures. Enforce safety rules and regulations among students while on the bus. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding transportation issues and concerns. Manage student behavior and address any disciplinary issues in a calm and effective manner. Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. Attend training sessions and meetings as required to enhance skills and knowledge. Maintain accurate records of student ridership and incident reports. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a passenger endorsement. Clean driving record with no major violations. Previous experience driving a school bus or similar vehicle preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and resolve conflicts in a professional manner. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to school transportation. Must pass background check and drug screening. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late afternoons. First Aid and CPR certification is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
