Overview

Provides direct patient care to an assigned group of patients, assesses, and evaluates and implements patients plan of care for an assigned period of time.

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions)

1. Administers medications within the scope of practice and the hospital's policies and procedures.
2. Assesses, evaluates, interprets and documents the patients physical and mental status.
3. Communicates the patients status with other health care disciplines.
4. Coordinates and develops the patients plan of care with all health care disciplines.
5. Performs and assists with medical and nursing procedures.
6. Provides pertinent health care education to patients and patients family.

• Ability to interpret lab and diagnostic results as it relates to patients status.
• Ability to communicate with all disciplines using SBAR.

• ED/ICU Requirement: ACLS MED SURG AREAS Requirement: BLS College Diploma Nursing Required

EDUCATION

• Bachelors Nursing Preferred
• College Diploma Nursing Required
• 2 Years RN Required
• Licensed Registered Nurse
• Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
