Travel & Expense Supervisor

The T&E Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Travel & Expense program within the Shared Services Center. This role provides leadership to the T&E function, ensuring effective administration of the Concur platform, strong compliance with Corporate Card policies, and high-quality service delivery to internal stakeholders. The Supervisor partners with T&E leadership to drive process standardization, enhance controls, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. This role serves as a subject matter expert, manages escalations, and ensures successful implementation of program enhancements while delivering efficient and customer-focused experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise an expanding team and guide team members through the establishment of well-defined performance criteria, promoting accountability in alignment with organizational objectives
  • Oversee day-to-day T&E operations to ensure prompt and accurate expense processing as well as effective issue resolution
  • Monitor compliance with established T&E controls in addition to key operational management controls
  • Recommend actionable training strategies to Management, based on problem frequency, audit results, and customer inquiries; also provide constructive feedback on policy and procedure enhancements to improve efficiency and overall compliance with expense management platforms
  • Analyze trends, root causes, and audit findings to recommend actionable improvements
  • Support and lead system or process implementations impacting the T&E program
  • Prepare necessary reports and analyses for management, conduct confidential investigations, and uphold adherence to company Travel and Expense policies
  • Assist external audit processes and maintain proficiency in SAP functions such as chart of accounts, profit center, and cost center structures
  • Stay informed of industry best practices and current developments in corporate card administration, shared services, and related technological advancements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Travel & Expense, Corporate Card, or AP Shared Services environment
  • 2+ years of experience in leadership or supervisory role
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Concur administration and configuration
  • Demonstrated experience with process improvement and control frameworks
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in building products or construction industry preferred

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid - 3 days in office. 100% in office during project transition. Up to 5% travel may be required
  • Normal office working conditions with a quiet noise level
