CNC MachinistLocation: Birdsboro, PAType: Direct Hire ContractorWork Model: OnsitePosition Summary: Conduct setup and machining using manual mills, lathes, grinders and 3 axis CNC Machining Centers as necessary. Ability to train and learn CAD/CAM programming using SolidWorks, Master Cam etc., for use in the machining of specialized tooling for injection molding, thermoforming and/or other tooling used in the manufacturing of plastic parts.Role Responsibilities and Priorities:Conduct setup and machining using manual mills, lathes, grinders and CNC Machining Centers as necessary.Analyzes drawings, sketches, and design data of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates. Able to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T)Determines reference points and direction of machine cutting paths.Outlines sequence of operations required to machine part.Observes operation of machine and inspects parts to prove programmed instructions.Performs part inspection with common measuring tools (i.e., Part probe, micrometer, calipers, etc.).Performs all work procedures in accordance with safety and ISO Standards.Effectively communicates with Tooling Department Manager to review work schedule and status of assignments.Part of a team driven to identify, develop and deliver innovative solutions, driven to constantly improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.Job Qualifications include:Education 3 + years trade school diploma required. or 2+ years college in a technical discipline preferred.CNC Programmer Certification desired.Experience Prior CNC programming experience o 3+ years preferred o 3D CAD and cam experience preferred.
