Pharma Senior Project Manager

Job Overview STV currently has an opening for a Pharma Senior Project Manager in the Construction Management group in Virginia. We are seeking a Pharma Senior Project Manager with a strong history of leading projects focused on CQV, Automation and System integration for cGMP and API drug manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will assume a role as Pharma CQV, Automation and Systems Integration Practice Lead for Owner’s representative assignments nationally. Responsibilities Lead owner‑representative assignments nationally focused on CQV, Automation and Systems Integration for cGMP and API drug manufacturing facilities. Guide project teams through all phases of the project life cycle, including budgeting, planning, design, bidding, construction, commissioning, and closeout services. Assume responsibility for project teams; set goals, develop implementation strategies, and create policies and procedures to guide the project and program. Recruit, manage, and develop staff, and execute program financials and schedules. Embed CQV governance so that design, procurement, and construction decisions are informed by validation requirements, ensuring the program is inspection ready by design, not by remediation. Provide dedicated owner‑side oversight of all automation, control systems, and digital integration scope. Lead cross‑functional pharma projects, programs, and initiatives with demanding resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Negotiate program scope changes, staffing assignments, and fees on behalf of STV. Develop program organizational structures and implementation strategies, and define program resource requirements. Manage the client relationship and monitor design and construction activities to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and corporate quality standards. Define and assign project responsibilities to the project/program team. Develop policies and procedures that foster the growth of a high‑performing team. Evaluate program financials, cash‑flow analyses, and cost estimates, and process purchase orders, change orders, and invoices to facilitate program compliance and delivery. Work with the team to forecast, identify, and address areas of potential liabilities and risks. Work with the team to develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, ensuring that project objectives are met. Develop standards, protocols, and procedures to facilitate project success. Build a collaborative work environment, providing guidance, direction, and instruction to less experienced team members and colleagues. Communicate complex ideas, anticipate potential concerns, and persuade executive leadership to adopt positions that facilitate project success. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related fields, or an equivalent AS or BS degree combined with commensurate experience. 10+ years of industry experience. Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and a track record in project management techniques, concepts, principles, and standards for MSAT, CQV, Automation and Systems Integration. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels internally and externally. Ability to creatively resolve issues as they arise. Knowledge and ability to supervise people, including recruitment, training, performance management, and people development. High proficiency with general Microsoft applications, including MS Project and SharePoint. Demonstrated experience with project management software and applications. Compensation Pay range: $196,118.41 - $224,135.33.
