Individuals who do not receive the influenza vaccination due to an approved medical or religious exemption must wear a mask during the influenza season when present. Masking will begin on November 1 and continue through March 31 unless indicated otherwise by community data. The rehabilitation hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The facility features specialized units with monitored rooms, equipment for dedicated therapy space, and private rooms designed to enhance recovery. Patients have access to gymnasiums with advanced therapy devices and an outdoor area to assist in rehabilitation. The team is composed of dedicated professionals providing exceptional patient care, focusing on improving individual functional ability and quality of life. The approach includes addressing the physical, emotional, and psychological components of each patient. Patients are evaluated based on movement patterns, strength, flexibility, functional ability, balance, and tone. Therapists collaborate with health professionals and family members to treat patients as they work towards their rehabilitation goals. The unit comprises approximately 81 private rooms with patient ratios of 1:6/7 during the day and 1:8 at night. Each nurse is assigned a dedicated technician. Floating within units is required, and there are multiple specialty areas involved. A preferred certification is CRRN.
