Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Kansas

Start Date: November 3, 2026
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; 52-bed Emergency Department with average 3:1 patient ratios (5:1 for low acuity, team nursing for pediatrics)

• Collaborative team environment with 134 ED staff members including dedicated charge nurses, physicians, mid-levels, and support staff per pod

• Structured shift support including charge nurse, techs, unit clerks, and provider coverage
• Focus on patient experience and safety with medication scanning protocols

Requirements:

• Current Kansas RN license or compact state license
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital Emergency Department experience (required)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) Blue Card certification
• ENPC certification preferred
• Meditech experience strongly preferred
• Previous experience traveling to large facilities preferred
• Proficiency in IV starts, medication administration, sedation monitoring, and pediatric emergency care
