We offer benefits as well as 401k.Position Details: Title: Certified Industrial Hygienist Position Type: 1 year contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need Job Location: Richmond, VA Shift: Part Time (8–16 hours per week) Benefits: 401K, Dental insurance, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Vision Insurance, PTO Compensation: $95.58/HRResponsibilitiesThe CIH will support the site Occupational Health (OH) program in coordination with the Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) and Health Services teams. Responsibilities include:Provide subject matter expertise to advance site occupational health programs and ensure compliance with industrial hygiene best practices and regulatory requirementsReview and approve industrial hygiene sampling plans; provide oversight, analysis, and interpretation of monitoring resultsReview and approve new chemical requests and ensure proper execution of the site's new chemical process per proceduresProvide guidance to the Health Services team regarding medical surveillance programsUtilize Cority (safety and occupational health software) to update workplace segmentation data and complete/document action itemsConduct, review, analyze, and document qualitative and quantitative hazard assessments, including chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic risksReview PPE change and addition requestsReview quarterly breathing air testing results and communicate findings to manufacturing areasProvide guidance to the site OH team, including oversight of OH equipment maintenance and support for asbestos, lead, and laser-related activitiesQualificationsMust be a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)Experience in occupational health and industrial hygiene programsKnowledge of regulatory compliance and industrial hygiene best practicesFamiliarity with safety and occupational health systems such as Cority preferredOn-Board was founded in 1976 by Robert L.
