Assistant Controller #0099 Scenic Southern Utah | Near National Parks – This is a Hybrid work opportunity This is not a typical Assistant Controller role. This is a

high-visibility, business-facing finance position

where you’ll work directly with operations, maintenance, and plant leadership to

drive cost, performance, and decision-making

across a growing mining and processing operation. Why this role is different: You’ll

own cost visibility across the plant

(crushing, milling, flotation, leach, SX/EW) You’ll partner directly with operations to influence: Production costs Downtime impact Continuous improvement initiatives

You’ll have

exposure to capital projects, asset tracking, and operational strategy You’re not buried in spreadsheets—you’re helping

run the business What they’re looking for: Strong

GAAP + cost accounting foundation Experience in

manufacturing, mining, or heavy industry Someone who wants to

step into a more strategic, operational finance role Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with cost accounting and inventory accounting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Education and Experience CPA or CPA candidate Experience in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry Familiarity with: Standard costing and variance analysis Fixed asset accounting and capital project tracking ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)

Experience supporting audits and internal controls

Supervisory Responsibilities This position will provide functional oversight to accounting staff.
