Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,318 a week in all, a taxable rate of $29.20 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Psychiatric Unit — Sharon, CT. The position provides care for geriatric adults with psychiatric conditions and multiple medical comorbidities. Responsibilities include supporting therapeutic programming and providing care for patients with dementia, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and related medical needs.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Certified Registered Nurse (CT-RNC); Crisis Management Training certification administered by the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) or an approved in-person course of at least 6 hours; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least 2 years of psychiatric experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience; experience caring for geriatric and dementia patients; medical-surgical experience.
• Schedule: Night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role supports patients who may require total care and includes facilitating therapeutic groups, caring for patients under voluntary or involuntary status, and managing medical-psychiatric needs, restraints, and seclusion according to applicable procedures.
