CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR

Job Title Research Scholar Job Description This position supports multiple retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) research projects by performing data collection, data entry, managing study databases, and supporting data analysis with a statistician. The role collaborates with a multidisciplinary group of pediatric ophthalmologists, retina specialists, neonatologists, ophthalmic imagers, and statisticians to support research studies on ROP. It also includes participation in weekly lab meetings, preparation of abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts for scientific meetings and publication. Responsibilities Perform data collection, data entry, and database management for ROP studies. Support and conduct data analysis with the assistance of a statistician. Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams. Participate in weekly lab meetings. Summarize and present study findings at research lab meetings. Prepare abstracts and presentations for scientific meetings. Prepare manuscripts for publication. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to use computing software and web‑based applications (e.g., Microsoft Office products and internet browsers). Minimum Qualifications Completion of an Associate's degree. Minimum of two years of relevant research experience; completion of the DOCR North Carolina state‑approved Clinical Research Apprenticeship program may substitute for one year of required experience.
