Ophthalmic Technician II

Ophthalmic Technician PositionWe are now hiring for an Ophthalmic technician that will support a high-volume ophthalmic practice that focuses on providing quality and compassionate care to each patient needing complete eye care services.This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.Ophthalmic skills include:Obtaining and documenting patient historyDetermining visual acuityPerforming automated refractionAdministering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physicianPerforming office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMRP providing patient servicesMeasurement of intraocular pressure (tonometry)Pre-operative preparation of patientMaintaining equipment and instruments• 2 to 3 years of ophthalmic or optometric technician experience preferred• COA preferred• Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required• Must be flexible with traveling to various locations.• Ability to pay attention to detail• Ability to maintain confidentiality• The ability to seek instruction in areas where he/she is not knowledgeable• The ability to recognize inconsistenciesEducation/Certifications:• Graduation from an accredited high schoolWe offer a competitive benefits package to our employees:MedicalDentalVision401k w/ MatchHSA/FSATelemedicineGenerous PTO PackageWe also offer the following benefits for FREE:Employee Discounts and PerksEmployee Assistance ProgramGroup Life/AD&DShort Term Disability InsuranceLong Term Disability InsuranceEyeSouth Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
