Millwright III Weekend Shift

Job Overview

The Millwright III installs aligns maintains and repairs industrial machinery and equipment. This position supports equipment installation fabrication preventive maintenance and minor machining work and assists with the hands-on training and development of millwright trainees.

Schedule:

• Friday - Sunday: 4:15AM - 4:45PM overtime as required

Highlights of your role

• Read and interpret blueprints schematic drawings and technical information to determine work procedures.
• Dismantle move assemble install align repair and lubricate machinery and equipment.
• Install equipment and components including shafting conveyors and speed-reducer assemblies.
• Construct machine foundations and secure machinery by bolting welding riveting or other appropriate fastening methods.
• Perform preventive maintenance service and necessary repairs on lift trucks.
• Perform minor machining work using an engine lathe and vertical mill including grinding filing turning cutting keyways and producing parts to dimensional specifications.
• Respond to call-back requests when directed by the supervisor.
• Plow snow as needed using a company vehicle.
• Assist with the training and development of millwright trainees.
• Plan and organize work to use time efficiently while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality in alignment with policy expectations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Youre a good fit if you have (or if you can)

• One-year certificate from a college or technical school; three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two years of welding and fabrication experience; welding certification is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules operating and maintenance instructions procedure manuals blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and communicate effectively with groups of employees.
• Ability to apply fractions percentages ratios proportions geometry and trigonometry to practical work situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written verbal diagram-based and schedule-based instructions.
• Basic computer skills sufficient to access and use the work order system.
• Current state drivers license.
• Current Marvin Wood Products forklift operators license.
• Must possess or obtain the required tools identified on the applicable tool list.

• Regularly required to stand walk and use hands to finger handle or feel.
• Occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; talk hear and smell.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Required vision abilities include close distance color and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
