PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR I

Production SupervisorFounded in Cleveland in 1944, WLS specializes in short and medium run metal stamping, fabrication and laser cutting to service a wide variety of industries.The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily press operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved. This role oversees stamping press operators, material handlers, and support personnel while ensuring efficient workflow, proper die setup, and adherence to production schedules. The supervisor promotes a strong safety culture and drives continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production employeesEnsure production schedules are met while maintaining quality standardsEnforce safety policies and promote a safe working environmentMonitor productivity and address performance issues as neededTrain, coach, and support team membersAssist in troubleshooting production issues and equipment concernsMaintain accurate production reports and documentationCommunicate effectively with management, maintenance, and quality teamsSupport lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with company policies and proceduresPreferred Qualifications:High school diploma or GED (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)3–5 years of manufacturing experience1–3 years of supervisory or leadership experienceStrong knowledge of production processes and safety standardsExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work flexible shifts if requiredExperience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principlesFamiliarity with ERP or production management systemsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
