Raw Materials Buyer

Our client, a leading organization in the consumer goods industry, is seeking a Raw Materials Buyer to join their team in Parsippany, NJ. As a Raw Materials Buyer, you will be part of the Supply Chain Department supporting procurement and sourcing activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach. Job Title: Raw Materials Buyer Location: Parsippany, New Jersey [HYBRID, 3-days onsite per week] Pay Range: $38-40/HR + Benefits Contract Duration: 6-Months W2 Contract (potential to extend/hire on perm.) Job Functions Manage sourcing and purchasing of raw materials and packaging components used at external co‑packer manufacturing sites Coordinate procurement requirements between the parent company, co‑packers, and suppliers Lead supplier negotiations for pricing, lead times, MOQs, and service levels Support strategic sourcing initiatives and continuous improvement projects Build and maintain advanced Excel tools and Power BI dashboards to track spend, supplier performance, and supply risks Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field 5–8+ years of experience in CPG procurement, buying raw materials and/or packaging Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, scenario modeling) Hands‑on experience building or maintaining Power BI dashboards Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in fast‑paced environments Benefits Medical and Prescription Drug Plans Dental Plan Vision Plan Health Savings Account Health Flexible Spending Account Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account Supplemental Life Insurance Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance Business Travel Insurance 401(k), Plus Match Weekly Pay #J-18808-Ljbffr ManpowerGroup Global, Inc.
