At Caritas, we do not hire people for jobs, we find new team members for rewarding and life-changing careers that make the world better./ppIf you are kind, patient, and ready to make a difference, we would love to meet you!/ppStatus: NON-EXEMPT (hourly) On Call as needed/ppReports To: Program Manager/ppCompensation, Starting Pay: $16.72/hourly/ppHours worked (typical): 8-33/ppDescription of Typical Work Schedule: 11pm-7am, 3-11pm, 9am-2pm, 3 to 8pm (Hours set based on necessity of department or office.)/ppPurpose: The Universal Service Worker monitors the health status of the clients/individuals and address their health-related needs, such as changing bandages, dressing wounds, or reminding them to take medication. The USW provides assistance with routine healthcare tasks and/or activities of daily living, bathing, toileting, or ambulation. We might also help with tasks such as preparing meals, doing light housekeeping, and doing laundry depending on the patients abilities./ppEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned./pulliProvide patients with help moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles and with dressing and grooming./liliGive medication reminders./liliProvide personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients./liliServe meals./liliCare for patients by changing bed linens, washing and ironing laundry, cleaning, or assisting with their personal care./liliMaintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor./liliEntertain, converse with, or read aloud to patients to keep them mentally healthy and alert./liliAssist and engage patients in exercises and/or daily activities./liliAssess the value, importance, or quality of things or people./liliObserve, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources./liliProvide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person./liliIdentify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events./liliUse relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards./liliCompile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, or verify information or data./liliComplete all cleaning task daily./li/ulpWe know great candidates bring a wide range of experience.
