Location/Division-Specific Information : This position is within the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division of the Analytical Instruments Group. The Product Manager for Ion Chromatography/Sample Preparation (IC/SP) Business Unit will be accountable for strategic direction and adoption of new and existing products for the ion chromatography consumables portfolio, delivering on revenue, profitability, and growth. Responsibilities Product Revenue and Metrics Responsible for product revenue, margin and new product impact Prepare financial justification models; manage the P&L for the product(s) Analyse, evaluate, and make recommendations to improve performance Motivate changes based on strategic shifts and internal/external factors with team members Portfolio Roadmap and Planning Partner with business and functional teams to drive OEM strategy and opportunities Propose solutions for portfolio gaps, including potential partnership opportunities Collaborate on annual operating plan, marketing plan and strategic plan to achieve growth and financial objectives Product Life Cycle Ownership Handle lifecycle of a product from inception to retirement Build and drive product line pricing strategy Support resolution of product quality and compliance issues Drive operations team on planning and forecasting for the product line Conduct gap analysis for product improvements and rationalization R&D Roadmap and Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) Influence product strategy based on global market, competitor dynamics, and regional variations Drive alignment with strategy and goals defined by leadership Build competitor analyses from customer perspectives Lead Voice of the Customer and competitor research Create innovative business and market requirements Monitor delivery of revenue from NPI per forecasted plan Ensure compliance with established processes and guidelines Product Management Leadership Serve as a subject matter authority, drive product management engagement and support development of junior colleagues Role model the company’s 4i values (Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, Involvement) Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business field; master’s degree (MS, Ph.D., MBA) highly desirable Experience 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in Product Management Experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Analytical Chemistry, or related field strongly preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Business strategy and financial awareness Market and competitor knowledge Innovation, technical knowledge and execution Problem-solving, critical thinking, adaptability, social skills, influencing, prioritization Strong written, interpersonal and oral communication; cross‑functional collaboration Commercial competence and ability to drive business results with a focus on action Ability to take projects from strategy to execution with attention to detail and innovative thinking Benefits Competitive remuneration and annual incentive plan bonus Health, dental and vision plans with health incentive programs Employee assistance, family support, commuter benefits and tuition reimbursement At least 120 hours paid time off, 10 paid holidays, parental leave (3 weeks bonding, 8 weeks caregiver) Accident and life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability per company policy 401(k) retirement savings plan Employees’ Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Compensation The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $123,800.00 – $185,000.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
