Java Developer
Position: Java Developer
Location: Evanston, IL
Duration: 4-6 Months CTH
Only Green Card and US Citizens Only
Max Pay Rate is $60/hr on W2
Current work setup (hybrid model):
- 2 Days - Work from client site
- 3 Days - Work from home
Other requirements:
- Dress Code: Formal dress code when working from client location.
- Vaccination: Client require candidate to be fully vaccinated, as their facility is fully vaccinated area.
Job Description for Java Developer
- 8+ years' experience in software development on Java Platform
- Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts, with ability to understand and write complex queries, stored procedures, analytical skills.
- Experience in development and production support environment.
- As a senior developer ability to work independently, highly motivated self-starter and a good team player with ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to perform effort estimation, breakdown workload into MVP.
- Strong Communication skills
- Primary Skills: Very Strong with extensive knowledge and experience in-
- Java 6 and above
- Hibernate 2.5 and above
- Spring Framework 2.5 and above
- Eclipse Keplar and current. Other similar IDE
- SQL (Actual language not just using ORM)
- JBoss (Preferred 5 or 7)/Wildfly
- Maven
- Experience in UX (HTML, CSS, Java script …)
- Struts Framework
- Tomcat (preferred version 7 or above)
- Linux
- Ant/Ivy
- Freemarker
- Analytical Skills: Ability to perform root cause analysis, identify the defect area reported by client/ production support tickets. Ability to understand complex business processes & workflow, functional & technical process of application. Identify and resolve database related performance and/or other issues.
- Tools:
- SVN & GIT: SVN and GIT are used as source code repository, hence must have knowledge and experience using these tools.
- TFS: Experience in using TFS for agile projects.
- JIRA and Confluence: JIRA is used for product support and enhancement ticket. Confluence is the document repository.
- Methodology:
- Agile - Normal course of project execution is under Agile methodology. Hence knowledge and experience to work in agile structure (Sprints, retrospectives, etc)
- Secondary:
- Postgres
- XSL/XSLT
- Excel
- Experience with AS/400 (iSeries) & DB2
- Perl
- Adeptia ETL or similar
- JasperReports
- iText
- Good To Have:
- Experience in migration Java 6 to newer version
- Experience in updating Java 6 code base for latest browser compatibility.
