Materials Analyst

Location: Taylor, MI 48180 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm, nights and weekends as needed. Onsite with opportunities for remote work. What You’ll Do Identifying and resolving ERP issues tied to BOMs, scheduling, logistics, and reporting. Conduct capacity analysis and planning activities to identify resource constraints, support customer demand requirements, and develop actions to mitigate production and supply chain risks. Analyze demand and establish scheduling parameters to maintain target inventory turns while supporting customer requirements. Leading process improvement initiatives across scheduling, customer service, logistics, and inventory. Documenting and promoting best practices, such as safety stock optimization. Supporting vendor EDI implementation and other cross-functional initiatives. Assisting with customer-driven projects such as program launches, balance-outs, and engineering changes. Serving as a central point of communication between MP&L, engineering, operations, IT, finance, purchasing, customers, and suppliers. Training team members and driving cost reduction and efficiency initiatives. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in a business-related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience considered. At least 5 years’ experience in scheduling, logistics, purchasing, or supply chain management (within a Tier 1/Tier 2 automotive supplier environment preferred). Proficiency in ERP systems (IQMS preferred) and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
