System Administrator

Position Objective: Provide services as a System Administrator III in support of the overall functions of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).Duties and Responsibilities:Support enterprise cloud and SaaS operations by onboarding and administering SaaS platforms, managing identity and access controls, and performing routine system troubleshooting.Apply foundational knowledge of AWS services and cloud administration to maintain secure, reliable system environments.Support authentication and authorization integrations, including SAML and OIDC, to ensure seamless user access across applications.Troubleshoot web based applications, monitor system performance, and assist in maintaining system documentation, security compliance, and operational continuity.Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve issues and enhance system reliability.Basic Qualifications:HS diploma or GED6 or more years of system administration experience required2–4 years of experience with onboarding SaaS systems2–4 years of experience with Identity and Access Management2–4 years of experience with SAML tracer, SAML decoder, SAML or OIDC tokens, and SSO certificates2–4 years of experience with AWS cloud management and administration2–4 years of experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, SNS, Route 53, Backup, etc.)2+ years of experience troubleshooting web based application issuesKnowledge of network fundamentals, including DNS, subnetting, firewalls, IP addressing, or CIDRAbility to obtain Public Trust clearance or other applicable security clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with SaaS products supporting:– Document Management– Electronic Common Technical Document (eCTD) Management Systems– Quality Management Systems– Clinical Data Systems– Trial Master File Systems– Electronic Lab Notebooks– Specimen Management SystemsExperience with scripting and automationExperience with security vulnerability remediationKnowledge of Computer Systems Validation principles (IQ, OQ, PQ)AWS Certification*This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required by this position.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
