Job Title: Outside Parts Sales Representative

Location: Williston, ND.

Interstate Power System’s Williston North Dakota location is looking for an Outside Sales Representative. Outside Sales Representatives fulfill a critical role in our operations. They are responsible for increasing Parts Sales with existing accounts, prospecting for new accounts, and promoting all other aspects of our business. They solicit new business and maintain accounts through face-to-face and phone contacts, developing networks and industry contacts, promoting our value-added products and services, and keeping customer satisfaction a priority.

A company vehicle, laptop and cell phone will be provided with this position .

Outside Sales Representative Job Duties

• The duties of this position will be to actively promote parts (and service) sales of our heavy-duty equipment lines in the assigned territory, as well as promote all other aspects of our business to enhance sales growth

• Actively identify and develop new customer contacts to expand market share and sales of parts.
• Assist customers in solving problems and provide technical support.
• Act as a liaison between the customer and company as needed to ensure that the customer needs are adequately met.

Outside Sales Representative Desired Skills and Qualities

• Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
• A self-starter who can identify the strengths presents in a location and utilize those strengths to develop a positive business plan.
• Proven background in sales
• Clear driving record
• Available for overnight travel

Outside Sales Representative Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent required
• 3+ years recent/relevant experience with outside sales
• Experience in distribution, industrial and/or heavy equipment a plus
