Description

American Traveler is hiring an LPN/LVN for a long-term care facility, requiring 2 years of LTC experience within the past 2 years and BLS certification.

Details

• Skilled nursing facility/nursing home (LTC) setting
• Scheduled for 3x12-hour night shifts (18:00-06:00)
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend (EOW)
• Floating required as needed within scope of practice
• WellSky charting system experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Current state or compact LPN/LVN license required in hand prior to start, if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• LTC experience within the past 2 years required
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• AHA certification strongly preferred (American Red Cross and ASHE Heartsaver not accepted)
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Minimum of 2 references required, up to 3, with at least one supervisor reference

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient admission, medication administration, wound care, vital sign monitoring, and patient/family education
• Skilled in managing conditions such as CVA, seizure disorders, and behavioral health issues including anxiety and PTSD
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and oxygen administration
• Support for end-of-life and hospice care
• First-time travelers accepted
• Radius restriction of 50 miles applies
• Local candidates not accepted
• Travel pairs accepted
• Employees must be separated from facility for a minimum of 1 year before returning as a traveler
• RTO must be submitted with application
