Occupational Therapist (OT)

Position Overview: The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy to patients based on physician referrals, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and standards. Key Responsibilities Develop, assess, and modify treatment plans focused on activities of daily living. Oversee and evaluate care provided by OTAs, Rehab Aides, and students. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and utilize therapy software effectively. Establish realistic, measurable, and functional goals for patients. Communicate and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, providing excellent customer service. Assist in patient evacuation and support safety protocols. Ensure professional relationships, confidentiality, and adherence to organizational policies and codes of conduct. Participate in community health initiatives as appropriate. Qualifications & Skills Certified by NBCOT; renewal optional. Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT). Active licensure in the applicable state; maintain licensure in good standing. Preferred one year of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply. CPR certification required; must remain current. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email. Strong communication, reasoning, and judgment skills. Ability to follow safety procedures and demonstrate good body mechanics. Essential Duties Follow individualized treatment plans and adjust goals as needed. Chart accurately and in a timely manner. Utilize therapy tools and software effectively. Maintain professional and respectful relationships with patients and colleagues. Demonstrate dependability, integrity, and professionalism at all times.
