Special Education Teacher (Mod/Severe) – Upper Lake, CA
Seeking a new opportunity within a school district? Spindle proudly collaborates with an outstanding school district in Upper Lake, CA in search of a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join their team for the 2026–2027 school year!
Position Details:
- Discipline: Special Education (Mod/Severe)
- Dates: August 6, 2026 – June 4, 2027
- Schedule: Full-Time
- Caseload: Mod/Severe (ESN) classroom supporting students for the full school year; position may potentially support a Transition Program focused on preparing students for life after high school
- Setting: Special Education classroom
Special Education Teacher Job Description:
- Provide specialized academic and functional instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support students in building academic, communication, and independent living skills
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, and school staff to ensure student success
- Create and maintain a structured and supportive classroom environment
- Assist students in developing transition skills and preparing for post-secondary opportunities
Pay & Benefits:
- Highly competitive compensation: $40–55/hour

Requirements:
- Active California Moderate/Severe Special Education Credential (required)
- Must provide a screenshot of active California CTC credential at the time of submission

Interview Process:
- 10–15 minute screening call with a Spindle recruiter
- 20–30 minute virtual interview with the district
- Offer typically extended within 24–48 hours of the interview
