As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Desk in Harrisburg, PA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.89 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access to the facility by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or appointments, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarm notifications, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as directed.
• Maintain awareness of lobby and entrance activity, report unusual conditions or suspicious behavior, and help to deter unauthorized access through a professional front desk presence.
• Complete required reports, logs, and other documentation accurately and in accordance with site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge procedures is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
