Multi‑Purpose Clerk – Grocery Location: 610 Kettleman Lane, Lodi, CA 95240 Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Center Store/Front End – Operate the check‑stand, memorize PLU codes, and perform point‑of‑sale and inventory activities. Order, receive, unload, stock and rotate product on all shelves and cases. Produce – Receive, inspect, and log goods; trim, wash, and wrap produce; stock, rotate, and merchandise to maintain freshness. Maintain the floral area and keep all equipment clean. Meat/Seafood – Inspect and log shipments; weigh, wrap, package, and label products for display. Provide customer service at the counter, take special orders, and operate equipment such as slicers and wrappers. Maintain department cleanliness. Bakery/Deli – Inspect and log items; prepare, weigh, package, and label baked goods and deli products. Take special orders for cakes and trays, operate ovens, proofers, slicers, and mixers, and keep the area clean. Janitorial – Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas; clean restrooms, break room, office areas, shelving, front‑end equipment, shopping carts, and vending machines. Maintain the front of store and parking lot, and empty trash. Operate sanitary equipment such as scrubbers and buffers when authorized. Additional Duties Across All Departments Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas. Operate forklift if authorized and certified. Operate baler if authorized. Perform other duties as assigned. Pay Range $17.15 – $26.20 Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Must be at least 18 years of age. Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work with a sense of urgency and self‑motivation. Proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible on the job. Education High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) or relevant job experience. Experience Six months of related experience. Other Must be available to work a variety of required retail hours. Physical Requires standing and other physical movements on a frequent basis and lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
