Safety Manager

Project Safety ManagerRowan Digital Infrastructure is looking for a Project Safety Manager to join our team to support a project in Temple, TX. The Safety Manager is a critical part of the site project team that will help support all aspects of the Rowan approach for site construction and operational startup. The successful candidate will have excellent strategic thinking skills, organizational and communication skills, the ability to multitask, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. This position will report to the Senior Regional Safety Manager.Travel: 10-15% with occasional travel to Rowan Office locations for team gatheringsLocation: This role will be 100% onsite in Temple, TXCompensation: $110K - $130K (Offers Bonus & Variables)Essential ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end construction safety for data center projects, from development to final deliveryResponsible for actively monitoring the safety of all site infrastructure, substation, and core/shell constructionEnsure General Contractor compliance with Rowan Contractor Safety Management ProgramWork closely with Rowan's Development, Engineering, and Procurement teams to ensure seamless project handoff and operational readinessDrive continuous improvement initiatives, evaluating construction processes, and implementing best practicesPromoting our safety culture and leading programs to improve the Company's overall safety cultureAccountable for maintaining and reporting EHS metrics for the project siteAnalyze and trend safety data, leading indicators, observations, incidents, and other EHS metrics to identify patterns, emerging risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement and proactive risk reductionSupport accident/incident investigation and analysis with the General Contractor to determine improvements neededReview and assist with development of necessary plans, procedures and strategies implementation and ensures their consistency and adequacyUse radical transparency to drive the safety culture and ensure all observations, near misses and incidents are surfaced, documented, and used to learn and drive injury to zeroBuild and continuously improve the policies, procedures, technology and safety reporting platform for the workplace and construction site activitiesRegularly reviewing and updating existing policies and procedures to ensure they are up to industry's best practicePerforming safety audits and physically inspecting all work areas and jobsites to identify possible safety issuesConducting risk assessments to minimize accidents, occupational illnesses, or long-term health hazardsCollaborate with contractors, vendors, and other partners to prepare monthly or annual safety reports and present the information to managementResponsible for directly managing a team of 2 safety professionalsActively participate in site High Risk Activity (HRA) meetingsCollaborate with the General Contractor to ensure Site Safety Steering Committees are implemented and effectiveCollaborate with the General Contractor to implement and drive a successful worker safety observation and engagement program (Good Catch/Positive Observation)Education, Skills, and Experience7+ years as a safety professional within a construction delivery organization; data center experience highly desiredA bachelor's degree in a safety-specific field such as occupational health and safety or equivalent experienceA certificate in occupational health and safety management desired, ideally from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) including:Certified Safety ProfessionalAssociate Safety ProfessionalConstruction Health and Safety TechnicianKnowledge of OSHA standards, both Construction and General IndustrySolid knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices in the workplaceFamiliarity with electrical, cranes, trench & excavation are preferredFamiliarity in incident investigation, injury management, and hazard analysisWorking knowledge of safety management software, such as Procore and Highwire. Proficiency in Microsoft word, Excel, and PowerPointStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret, trend, and translate safety data into actionable insights, priorities, and improvement strategiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong supervisory and leadership skillsStrong ability to build working relationships with internal and external teamsBilingual is highly desiredFueled by Excellence & CollaborationAt Rowan, we are a distributed team united by a common mission to transform data center delivery.
