GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES


Camp Champs Site Directors assists the Recreation Department with the Summer Camp Programs for pre-school children at various locations throughout the Town of Fairfield.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children.
• Supervision of activities which take place on site so the events are safe and run efficiently.
• Supervision of the leaders who are working at the site.
• Daily attendance and record keeping of all incidents and accidents.
• Making sure that all rules and policies are followed.
• Responsible for the care and use of equipment as well as making sure it is properly stored and brought out for use each day.
• Responsible for keeping site and school clean at all times.
• Responsible for safety of all children and staff on off-site trips.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have creativity, organizational skills and the ability to create a "lesson plan" of daily activities and games for preschool aged children.
• Must be able to take on responsibility, take initiative and interact with parents, co-workers and children.
• Experience in working with children or related filed, preferably preschool/elementary teachers.
• Natural leadership abilities.
